The company's founder, Dr William Mathias Scholl, wanted to understand the structure and biomechanics of the feet in relation to the rest of the body - his passion and values are kept alive to this day.
In the 60s Scholl launches the series anatomical Pescura sandals in beech wood that accentuated the legs with every step. They quickly became an international hit, with celebrities such as models Twiggy and Jean Shrimpton wearing them - turning them into a symbol of style and comfort.
Dr William Scholl died in 1968 aged 86. The purpose of his life "How to help people realize the importance for their health of the foot care them", was the legacy he left to his company.
In 2004 they celebrate its centenary Scholl with a new series foot care products, with the same goal as always: to continue giving great legs.
Today his story Scholl continues, with its founder's vision and passion still alive: to help people realize the importance of taking care of their feet for their health, and to help them by offering it to them better care.
